Class Description
The Academy has many different options for the
student to explore during their path in the Martial Arts.
Lear’s Martial Concepts Kempo Classes
This is a composite
system encompassing the martial arts. It was founded in 2004 by Head
instructor Shane Lear. Master Lear has continued to explore many forms of
unarmed combat in an effort to achieve this diverse defense system. The
system also explores the health aspects of the martial arts to help the
student achieve balanced training. The Kempo program has two parts: a
youth program, and an adult program. Traditional and current training
techniques are mixed into both programs. Sensei Lee Plescher, Master
Lear’s highest ranking student, also teaches his version of this program.
Jodoryu Jujitsu
A Jujitsu system
founded by Grandmaster T.A. Frazer that uses techniques from standing and
ground positions found in kata movements. This system was developed during
30 plus years of martial arts training and his time working as a police
officer. Grandmaster Frazer is a highly sought after defense and security
instructor for police and military forces worldwide. He is also one of the
Co-founders of the Jodoryu International Organization.
