Master Shane Lear

Shane Lear began studying the art of Okinawa Kenpo in 1988. In 1991, He was promoted to 1st Degree Black Belt and began teaching. Since then he has studied several arts in pursuit of becoming a well-rounded martial artist. He currently holds a 5th degree Black Belt in Ryu Kyu Kempo, 4th Degree Black Belt in Chung Do Kwan Taekwondo, 3rd Degree Black Belt in Okinawa Kenpo Karate, and a 1st Degree Black Belt in Jodoryu jujitsu. His 4th Degree Black Belt in Ryu Kyu Kempo was presented by Grandmaster George Dillman at the Shaolin Temple in China during a training trip in September of 2006. During that trip, he was involved in a demonstration at the Great Wall of China where he performed various kata. He has also been involved in many tournaments and demonstrations in the area throughout his Martial Arts career. The highlight of his competitive career was winning the power striking division at the North American Championships at Swanton, Ohio in 1990. Mr. Lear also holds a Master certificate and an Instructor certificate in acupressure from the G-Jo institute, is a certified Yoga instructor and is also a graduate of the Institute of Therapeutic Massage.

Sensei Lee Plescher

Lee Plescher began his study of Okinawa Kenpo under Shane Lear in 1991 and received his 1st Degree Black Belt in 2000. Sensei Plescher also studied Judo in his youth. He holds 3rd Degree Black Belts in both Ryu Kyu Kempo and Lear's Martial Concepts Kempo as well as a 2nd Degree Black Belt in Okinawa kenpo. He began teaching in 2004 and has been involved in various demonstrations and tournaments in the area during his Martial Arts career.
